Per NDE email on March 6, 2026:

The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) is moving to NV SilverShare, our new secure file transfer site. This system replaces Bighorn as the primary way to securely share and transfer files.

How to Access the New System

To use NV SilverShare, you must first log in to the new NDE Application Portal. This portal uses Single Sign-On (SSO), meaning you only need one set of credentials to access your NDE applications.

Log in: Visit the NDE Application Portal to get started.
Follow Instructions: Refer to the login instructions document “Logging into NV SilverShare using SSO” for a step-by-step guide.

Important Deadlines and Changes

Please be aware of the following critical changes as we transition away from Bighorn:

File Transfer: Bighorn is no longer the active site for transferring files. Do not upload new files to Bighorn.
Data Migration: You have until March 26th, 2026, to move your existing files from Bighorn to SilverShare. After this date, Bighorn will no longer be accessible.
EDSA Access: The EDSA application is now located in SilverShare. You can no longer access it through Bighorn; you must now access EDSA through NV SilverShare.
